i just found 2 rx-7's a red 1 with one seat asking 4 $13,000 with 700+ HP!! All new engine and transmission!! Equipped with a T-78 Ball Bearing turbo kit turbo + waste valve , Front mounted Greddy Intercooler w/ greddy piping. are these good deals. let me kno. i have the money to but either 1. my friend say their awsome cars an he mite get the 1 i dont buy. please help

i would go for the one with less upgrade cuz the one with 700+ is someone else's product, make your own car and feel the pride when someone ask you

it gives you a sense of pride that you made this car what it is and they were ur ideas. but i mean for 700+ hp, shoot, get that thing!

Well, I was driving on an "under construction" highway today and hit a big bump. My car is lowered 2inches with neuspeed springs and Koni shocks. After this happened, the car seemed about 3 inches lower on the drivers side than the passengers, and both back tires were angled inward (they were perfect before-just got an alignment). I checked the shock/springs and saw that the driver's side rear spring was over the socket portion of the shocks. A picture is included. Looks like the spring collapsed onto where the socket is/was. Any advice on what happened and how I can go about fixing it. Also, is it dangerous to drive as is temporarily? I assume so.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The springs are supposed to have a few coils at the bottom that actually touch, that part is normal. Its possible that the front perch on the LOWER side broke, or the upper mount broke. You should pull off the tire and have a look at what is going on in there. It could be something as simple as the spring is actually dislodged or it could be something broken.

Pull the tires off the front and compare the strut/spring and it should be pretty obvious what is wrong.

(2006 models and higher)

I have owned 5 VW's in the past and have had good service and high mileage (highest was a VW Quantum with over 300k) from all of them. The key with VW's is to have a good dealer or a VW mechanic to perform your service at the recommended intervals. As long as you perform your recommended services and use a quality synthetic oil and a Mann filter you should have no significant problems.

What would be the best way to increase the speed in my 99' VW Beetle? What parts would up performance now that the new 5 cylinder 150hp new VW Beetles are around I want my baby to get spruced up. I know it is a weird thing to want a speedy bug, but I was wondering if there was even such a thing as performance parts for a '99 Beetle.

Thanks in advance =)

Any sites with parts would be amazing!!!

Unfortunately the 2.5 L is a new engine, so aftermarket parts are as of yet thin on the ground. The best advice I can give you, is to come to the forum below and ask there. Some wonderful beetle owners there, eager to share their knowledge. No spam, or fees but you'll have to register.
And there's nothing weird about wanting to soup up your buggy! You'll see there's some amazing ones there, some with upwards of 400 hp. Fun place to hang out and get advice. Hope to see you there :)
