Well, I was driving on an "under construction" highway today and hit a big bump. My car is lowered 2inches with neuspeed springs and Koni shocks. After this happened, the car seemed about 3 inches lower on the drivers side than the passengers, and both back tires were angled inward (they were perfect before-just got an alignment). I checked the shock/springs and saw that the driver's side rear spring was over the socket portion of the shocks. A picture is included. Looks like the spring collapsed onto where the socket is/was. Any advice on what happened and how I can go about fixing it. Also, is it dangerous to drive as is temporarily? I assume so.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
The springs are supposed to have a few coils at the bottom that actually touch, that part is normal. Its possible that the front perch on the LOWER side broke, or the upper mount broke. You should pull off the tire and have a look at what is going on in there. It could be something as simple as the spring is actually dislodged or it could be something broken.
Pull the tires off the front and compare the strut/spring and it should be pretty obvious what is wrong.
Hope you had kept your original parts. Picture was hard to figure out what the damage was, but the way you described it, seems something broke and will need replacing for sure. Is not bad to drive, but will definitely wear the rear tires bad. So get it fixed ASAP.

seems the spring support on your coil over is broken time for a new shock and a re align…watch those holes…a lowered car has less suspension travel to absorb road shock making bent or broken parts more likely…wouldnt drive it until repaired

Your absolutely right about your car. That sure sucks. Probably bottomed out so much it reached "coil bind" and busted. I doubt it is safe to drive… more like limp to the shop.
